A game of quarters, beer pong, or other drinking game is a popular means to some simple entertainment among friends. Millions have played these and other drinking games in college and while university life may be a distant memory, there are those who still reminisce about hanging out with their best buds, swilling cheap brew, and seeing who still had the necessary coordination and skill to get that 25 cent piece to bounce the right way and land in the cup.
NFL playoff and Super Bowl viewing often include beer as a necessary ingredient and some may be tempted to grab a handful of change from the money jar and relive the bygone, carefree days of college. This time around, why not surprise friends and family with some new drinking games- ones that are entertaining and tie in directly with the current NFL playoff teams and personalities? The web service Nightuplife.com has some interesting drinking games created especially for the 2014 games. Here is a sampling, taken straight from a Nightuplife.com application:
NFL Drinking Games
The Challenge Flag:
This one involves a bit of math, but trust us it’s fun. And the math is probably at the 5th grade level so anyone can do it! Start a timer when a challenge flag is thrown, and record how long it takes the ref to talk to the coach, go to the booth, and come back with a decision. Take that time and divide it by the amount of people watching the game. Each person must drink for the divided amount of seconds. As a reminder, a challenge can take well over 3 minutes.
Rex Ryan’s Game:
The perfect game for Jets fans and whoever likes to watch Rex Ryan swear like a sailor. This game is quite simple. Every time Rex swears, take a drink. If he decides to go on a swearing binge, drink until he stops.
Peyton Manning’s Game:
Peyton Manning is undoubtedly a talented QB, who loves to keep his opponents and often times his teammates on their toes by calling an audible. So, every time Manning steps on the line of scrimmage, watch him carefully. When he calls an audible, take one drink. Play this for an entire game.
“Wait Which Team Is Winning” Game:
To start, you need to have a side beer the entire game and shots readily available. Every time your team scores a touchdown you take one shot, and every time the other team scores a touchdown you take two shots. But, wait there’s more!
1.You must take one drink (of beer) when:
§ Your team gets a first down.
§ A penalty flag is thrown.
§ For a big offensive play.
§ Every made field goal.
§ Every big hit by a defensive player.
2.You must chug your beer when:
§ A player is injured
§ Anytime an unpredictable big play happens (Hail Marys, Jaguars touchdown)
3. These rules are of course subject to change so feel free to adjust them to you personal preferences.
Whatever you do, be sure to drink responsibly this NFL playoff & Super Bowl season and at any other time. And be sure to visit Nightuplife.com to find out more about this service and its useful applications made for those who love the night life.
