Three Weavers Brewing, the California brewing operation known for its Expatriate West Coast IPA, Midnight Flight Imperial Stout, and other crowd favorites, has announced the release of a new beer brewed with warmer temperatures in mind. The new beer is Sun Trap, a gluten- reduced session sour ale.
Sun Trap has been available in limited release, but will now enjoy much wider distribution. Three Weavers Brewmaster Alexandra Nowell says Sun Trap’s refreshing qualities are bound to be a huge hit with Three Weavers fans.
“Sun Trap has quickly become a favorite around the brewery and I’m incredibly excited to release it to the rest of our beer-drinking community,” said Nowell. “It’s vibrant, hits all of the right tropical chords, and has this lustrous and refreshing finish that I can’t get enough of.”
Sun Trap is a lighter, session brew soured using lactobacillus and fermented using passionfruit puree for a taste profile that is both tart and fruity. The beer is finished with Mendocino Sea Salt and a small amount of lemon peel for a bright, light, refreshing beer certain to make any summer occasion better than before. The 4.5 percent alcohol by volume is also a plus, as it keeps the beer light enough that one can enjoy a few servings without feeling much effect.
Sun Trap will be available at retailers and at Three Weavers Brewing starting on June 1, 2019. Look for it in stores where Three Weavers products are presently sold and enjoy the taste of summer, courtesy of this CanArchy collective member brewery.
