Tröegs Brewing Expands and Improves

Tröegs Independent Brewing, located in Hershey, PA, has announced two big projects at its highly popular brewery.

Just a few weeks ago, Tröegs broke ground on a 15,000-square-foot addition to the northwest corner of its brewery. This additional space will be used to expand the packaging hall and will eventually host a large, new canning line to increase customer demand, as well es efficiency.

Co- founder Chris Trogner says the new canning line is an important addition to the brewery for many reasons.

“The new line will allow for separate bottling and canning,” says Chris Trogner. “It’ll increase the production speed, capacity, and quality of our canned beer. And we’ll also have the ability to work in some new packaging options.”

In addition to the canning line, which is slated to be finished in the fall of 2022,  Tröegs is adding something else that its customers will appreciate: 100 new parking spaces. The extra parking will help relieve guests’ stress and frustration during the brewery’s peak hours. There shouldn’t be any problem at all with finding a space to park your car while you partake in a brewery tour, sample some beer and food, and grab some beer and brewery swag to take home. The new parking lot is set for completion in the summer of 2022. As co- founder John Trogner states, the added canning line and parking lot improvements are par for the course at Tröegs, a brewery that continues to make things better for those who visit Hershey, PA, a destination known for its chocolate.

“We’ve been perpetually under construction for 25 years,” says John Trogner. “That’s what we love to do – continuously improve and expand. We’re always thinking about what we can do in the next year, the next five years, the next 20 years to make the brewery better as a whole.”
