New Orleans- based Urban South Brewery, the largest craft brewery in the storied city, is about to celebrate four years in business. The brewery ranks as one of the fastest growing breweries in the United States and boasts significant achievements in its short time in business.
Co- founder Jacob Landry says the brewery is on the right track, not just for volume growth, but also for living up to his stringent standards.
“We hit the ground running on day one, and we haven’t slowed down since,” said Landry. “We are consistently working to develop our brewery into a place for the community to spend time and share drinks, meals and laughter, and our brand into one that is firmly rooted in our culture and place. I am extremely proud of our incredible team, and our distribution and retail partners for their hard work over the past four years.”
Urban South plans to celebrate its four years in business with 17 exclusive anniversary releases. Since the New Orleans area is currently under quarantine, the beer will be offered to go from the Urban South location at 1645 Tchoupitoulas Street. Also, as a means to educate craft beer fans about these new releases before making a purchase, Urban South will hold a series of Instagram Live events, hosted by head brewer Alex Flores.
Urban South Brewery has achieved quite a bit in four short years. The brewery just recently expanded to Houston, Texas with a 14,000 square foot facility complete with a 10- barrel brewhouse. Urban South has released more than 100 unique beers during its brief tenure and has won several awards in prestigious competitions like the U.S. Open Beer Championships, Can Can Awards, and Beer Army Beer Wars.
Urban South’s Anniversary beers will be available to go between 11am and 5:30pm each day until further notice. Interested purchasers can place an order ahead for pickup online, order by phone, or visit the store to pick up the beer of their choosing. Online and phone orders will be available within 30 minutes and can be picked up with a valid 21+ ID.
