Victory Brewing, arguably the most widely known among Philadelphia’s craft breweries, has teamed up with Key Ingredient Market to create a new product that combines the greatness of Victory craft beer with cheddar cheese.
Both companies are resident experts in their product fields and together, they have produced a series of cheese spreads that are certain to put others to shame. The spreads feature specialty Wisconsin cheddar cheese and one of three different Victory beers for a spreadable cheese that is perfect for chips and dipping. The three options include:
- HopDevil Cheddar Spread, made with Victory Hop Devil Ale
- Headwaters Cheddar Dip, made with Victory Headwaters Pale Ale
- GoldenMonkey Cheddar Spread, made with Victory GoldenMonkey Tripel Ale
Victory Brewing President Bill Covaleski sees great potential with this partnership:
“Collaboration has always been one of the cornerstones of the craft beer movement because it breeds a creative, passionate environment where the possibilities for growth expand infinitely” said Covaleski. “It makes perfect sense to unite with an equally passionate company, Key Ingredient Market, to create the delicious sum which we hope everyone will enjoy, of two, compatible parts.”
The new cheese spreads will retail for about $6.99 each and will be offered for sale at Whole Foods locations in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, as well as Victory’s own Downingtown Retail Store. Distribution will be limited, so not all Whole Foods locations in each state will receive the product. If the product catches on, the new cheese spread may be sold in more places.
Expect to find the new cheese spreads in stores starting in mid June, 2014.
