Beer is my usual beverage of choice, but I am not going to turn down the chance to sample a quality serving of liquor and among the different types of distilled spirits available, whiskey easily ranks as my favorite. The best way to sample different whiskies is to attend an event where whiskey is the star of the show and one such event that showcases the best whiskies from the United States and across the globe is Whiskies of the World, a one- night event coming to Houston, Texas. General admission includes admission to the event at 7:30pm, but if you want the deluxe treatment, I recommend purchasing a VIP ticket. With VIP, you can enter the event one hour early; gain access to special edition whiskies not available to those with general admission tickets; and have a better opportunity to meet and mingle with brand ambassadors, distillers, and blenders.
