Craft beer fans know that the love of their favorite beverage is about much more than the drink itself. There is a beer festival that was designed with community in mind and is set to return to the west Houston, Texas suburb of Katy this spring. It’s the Katy Wild West Brewfest scheduled for March 21, 22, and 23, 2024.
Beer Fest Background
Wild West Brewfest has been around for twelve years. Founded by the Katy Rotarians, Wild West Brewfest was created with one important goal in mind: To create an unforgettable beer festival that is not only fun and entertaining, but also one that places Community support at the forefront.
The way Wild West Brewfest accomplished this is simple. All proceeds from festival ticket sales are earmarked for local charities. All workers present at the festival are there on a volunteer basis. There is no profiteering, no management fees, etc. All the money collected makes its way into the hands of worthy local non- profit organizations, a fact that sets Wild West Brewfest apart from other beer festivals.
Schedule of Events
Wild West Brewfest runs from March 21 through March 23, 2024 and is held at Typhoon Texas Water Park. It features the following events each day:
- March 21: K-Town Throwdown Party. This is the kickoff of the event. Held on Thursday evening, it features no cover charge and $5 dollar beers. Food trucks and live music will cap off the evening of entertainment.
- March 22: Launch Party. This takes place on Friday evening and features three hours of beer, food, and music.
- March 23: Wild West Brewfest. Held on Saturday, this is the main event you don’t want to miss. It features over 500 beers, multiple food trucks, live bands on multiple stages, a wine grotto for those who prefer the fruit of the vine, and so much more.
