Beer festivals are one of the most enjoyable ways to spend an afternoon or evening and as a beer blogger, I have attended quite a few beer festivals in my day. There are easily some standouts in the crowd and one that has truly made a name for itself for reasons that go far beyond the beer is the Wild West Brewfest, scheduled for April 26- 27, 2019 at the Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Texas, a west Houston suburb.
Bring on the Brew
Wild West Brewfest features a huge selection of beers from breweries across Texas and the United States. Guests can expect to find more than 500 different beers to sample, some of which are not easily available outside of the festival. Live entertainment and games are also part of the fun in store at Wild West Brewfest. Live music is performed on multiple stages and there is always a live band inside the big tent, which is reserved for VIP guests. Beer vendors have separate tents serving beer on the outside and since the event is held in the parking lot of the Katy Mills Mall, it is extremely easy to find a place to park.

You see, Wild West Brewfest has one quality that sets it apart from other beer festivals, and that is the fact that ALL proceeds go to charity. With other beer festivals, it is common for the organizers to donate a portion of the proceeds to worthy causes. But Wild West Brewfest takes its commitment to the community to extreme levels by giving all of its money to important causes. Every person you see working the festival is doing so on a volunteer basis. There are no management fees deducted from the proceeds. Every penny of the money you pay as a guest gets turned over to one of several local charitable causes.

Beer festivals are commonplace across the United States, but Wild West Brewfest is different.
